St. Barnabas Celebrates 60 Years of Worship and Service

In June, 1954, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church was founded as a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan. (If you’re interested in the details, see Our History.)

Last year, we celebrated with a series of events in June:

Sunday, June 8, 10:00a–2:00p – Mass on the Grass and Peace Garden Lollapalooza — The community is welcome to an outdoor mass, hosted garden tours, nature hunts and a quilt display. The quilter’s guild will serve a light luncheon.

Wednesday, June 11, St. Barnabas Day, 7:00p — We’re celebrating St. Barnabas Feast Day with a Choral Evensong, Marty Haugen’s Holden setting of the Evening Prayer service.

Saturday, June 21, 7:00p — Concert featuring our illustrious organist, Kathy West, and various musical friends. All welcome. Light refreshments will be served.

Thursday, June 26, 6:00–8:00p — Flower Pounding and Prayer Flag workshop. All welcome.

Our 60th year closes this year (2015) with our St. Barnabas Day festivities. More will be posted soon. We hope you’ll plan on joining us!
